At a couple of doctor’s visits… Sadi demonstrated her reading. She read the Cat in the Hat to Dr L… and then she was reading Lucy on the Ball at the Neurologist. That is a chapter book… 90 pages or so.
Sadi isn’t the only one… Ali has been working on her reading as well. Reading was the only thing that they didn’t really work on “together.” Sadi needed absolute 1 on 1 attention on that. They do not learn to read in anywhere near the same way. With Math, Handwriting, Science… there are smaller variations… reading… it just had to be done separately.
So now that Sadi is handled, we are concentrating more strongly on Ali. We are getting her actual reading program… which is most definitely the best way for her to learn.
Sadi is also doing some Reading Comprehension on the program as well.
Ali LOVES her reading program. Really loves it.
Ali has also learned quite a bit already from her toys… her Leapfrog and other electronic toys. In addition to E-X-I-T… which she feels the need to share at all doctor’s offices…
She also picked up… Z-O-O… ZOOoooooo….!
As well as several 2 letter words… We being one of them.
Okay, maybe this didn’t come from a toy… but she can spot them a mile away!
Again… probably not one that came from a toy… but she can tell you who ALL of them are, what instruments they do or don’t play… and she can point them out whether the video is from the 80’s or 2010. Plus, she’s known the word “tragical” since she was 3…
We had to make a trip to the store a few weeks ago. It was discovered that we only had ONE dustpan. Seriously? It was a tragedy. A disaster. They both HAD to have a dustpan. Like NOW.
Really? You are demanding to go to the store to get a dustpan?! Dude, let’s go… I will get you a broom while we are at it!
Creativity is a good thing… really… even when it’s messy…
Feeding the horses…. (photographing them coming soon.)
We went up to take some pictures a while ago….
